Booster Fawn's music first saw the light in 2016, on a cherry orchard in British Colombia. Josh (b. 1989) has been frequenting the Montreal music scene since 2004 and it is the artists that were playing at this time that inspired him to make music and to live in Montreal, and this, since 2008. Booster Fawn produces albums that express what it means for him to be living on this earth. This usually means making a strange and delicious mixture of pop, folk and rock music inspired by his late 90's and early 2000's musical heroes, but with a distinctively modern twist. Before finding as voice as Booster Fawn, Josh was a professional snowskater for Ambition Snowskates (2008-2013).
His music has been compared to that of Leonard Cohen, David Bowie, Talking Heads, Richard Hell, Elton John, The Cure, Neutral Milk Hotel, Bob Dylan, Wolf Parade, Florence And The Machine, Soft Boys, Pink Floyd, Syd Barret, Robyn Hitchcock, Modest Mouse, Velvet Undergroud, Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, Lou Reed, The Flaming Lips, Radiohead, Arcade Fire and Moz.
